IWPA’s original due diligence training course was developed in partnership with the World Resources Institute utilizing U.S. Agency for International Development funding.The course provides attendees with a comprehensive analysis of the requirements of the Lacey Act and other laws relevant to the trade in wood products. The full day course includes, lunch, and workbook materials.

Who Should Attend?

If you import, buy, sell or use imported wood in your business this course is for you.  In this course you will learn how to avoid a Lumber Liquidators situation for your business.  Recently, Lumber Liquidators agreed to pay a $13.5 million dollar fine and implement a comprehensive Environmental Compliance Plan due to Customs Law and Lacey Act violations.  The course has relevance for ‘C suite” executives as well as front line compliance and buying staff.  Reduced pricing is offered for multiple participants from the same company.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received 15 days prior to the course date and are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be made for requests received after the course date. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute someone in your place.
