The half-day formaldehyde regulations course concentrates on emissions standards applicable to plywood, medium-density fiberboard, particle board and products that contain them. Buying and labeling basics, product coverage and exemptions, importer and distributor responsibilities, documentation requirements and updates on the most recent enforcement cases will be presented and discussed.

Who Should Attend?

If you import, buy, sell or use imported wood in your business this course is for you.  In this course you will learn how to avoid a Lumber Liquidators situation for your business.  Recently, Lumber Liquidators agreed to pay a $13.5 million dollar fine and implement a comprehensive Environmental Compliance Plan due to Customs Law and Lacey Act violations.  The course has relevance for ‘C suite” executives as well as front line compliance and buying staff.
