In our industry 2018 will go down as the year that the trade war between the U.S. and China began in earnest. With protectionist measures escalating on an almost weekly basis and global supply chains for all manner of wood products being forced to adjust, the 2019 World of Wood Annual Convention comes at an especially critical time. As the one event that brings together every sector of the North American imported wood products industry, participation at the World of Wood, which will take place April 3-5, 2019, at the beautiful Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains outside Tucson, Arizona, is more important than ever.

Our 2019 World of Wood Annual Convention will feature expert speakers and panels discussions focusing on topics such as economic and trade trends, the status of trade agreements and enforcement, emerging technologies in supply chain management, and proposals to list additional species under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Our packed agenda will be topped by our lead keynote speaker, Mark Horstman is Co-Founder of Manager Tools, a management consulting and training firm. He also co-host the Manager Tools podcast, the #1 business podcast in the world with over 2 million downloads a month.  Virtually all of the Fortune 500 are clients of Manager Tools, including Apple, General Motors, SpaceX, Novo Nordisk, Cisco, AT&T and The firm trains thousands of managers throughout the world every year working on-site within organizations or through the Manager Tools public conference forums, offered almost weekly and around the globe. Mark is also the author of The Effective Manager, a bestseller on Amazon.  He is a United States Military Academy graduate and was a manager and executive in sales and marketing at Procter & Gamble.

The program will also contain a number of other networking receptions and events that will provide valuable opportunities to catch up with old friends from across the industry and make new ones that will lead to new opportunities for your business.

We will continue to post the latest information about the schedule and events for the 63rd  World of Wood Annual Convention through our weekly Member E-News newsletter and on our website. Early bird registration is open on our website at until January 7th.

We can’t wait to see you in Tucson!
